Behind the Scenes : Those Who Play With Demons Unseen Secrets

You've seen blood before, the terror and whispers in the dark but all of that barely scratches the surface.  My Wattpad journey is one that has been filled with highs and lows. I wouldn't say it's been a smooth road but one filled with sticks and stones but Wattpad has become a home to me since it's my first writing platform. I've been on Wattpad since 2023.  Every chapter gives me the most writer's block since the start of my writing journey but I'm managing to push through each test. Before and during writing I listen to soulful music to block every outside distraction. One of my favorite chapters has to be the first chapter. My drive to start writing was boredom and because I've always wanted to have a book of my own. There are chapters I feel I could've done better like struggling with the dialogues and scenes but people still liked them. 🩸"The Inspiration Behind Those Who Play With Demons"🩸

I've always felt that horror isn't just about villians or blood - it's about what creeps beneath the surface of everyday life. The fear of the unknown, the feeling of living on edge even when everything looks normal on the outside. And that's what inspired my horror anime story : THOSE WHO PLAY WITH DEMONS .  My First Encounter with Anime Horror  My obsession began with anime like Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer. These shows weren't just horrific - they were psychological and emotional. Horror can be beautiful, sad, and deeply human. Those mixed emotions are what I try to capture in my story.  Writing style and themes  I wanted to write something that felt like an anime episode - cinematic, violent, with cliffhangers at the end of each chapter. "Day in the Life of a Wattpad Writer"

In life lies an ineffable feeling, a path into the unknown and horrifying. To some it's a contradiction whilst to others a fascination. As a horror writer, I'm fascinated by the term "unknown".   Foregoing, my love for writing horror does not mean I believe in the paranormal. Alternatively, it's a drive of discovering the unknown that has kept me on edge since I was wet behind the ears. My love for writing horror ponders from the belief that where there is light, there's also darkness.  Writing these blogs will help me pinpoint real life and paranormal. Horror stories influence bravery, opening up and gives us the gutsiness in the face of adversity. My blogs will help me on a journey into the unknown and to put the pieces together.

How I made my cover and wrote my story synopsis

Next, when I was closing in on the end of the writing process, I wrote my synopsis. Your cover draws people in, but your synopsis is what will either make readers click through to read the book or move on.  Then I made my cover and wrote story synopsis I used Canva to create Those Who Play With Demons cover. I started this early in the writing process, so I had plenty of time to experiment and go through multiple cover drafts, tinkering until I got it right. I could have hired a cover designer, but Canva has a specific Wattpad cover setting and I decided to use this experiment with graphic design, too. I chose a free stoke image and played with fonts for days until I found one I liked. I quite like the result.

I published a book on Wattpad

I'm a YA author, and published debut novel ( Those Who Play With Demons ) ,  2023. The novel is available to read in its entirety, for free, on Wattpad.  Wattpad  is Canadian website where users can post their original writing or fanfiction for others to read - but an outsized impact.  I had not known or heard about Wattpad for years, but early last year, I started experimenting in self-publishing. My primary objective was to gain readers, not to earn money, so Wattpad quickly became a subject of fascination for me. A lot of YA authors have racked up literal millions of reads on Wattpad, and their readership on the platform has become a major asset in their careers.  First, I did my research  Wattpad is a serial publishing platform and, it's an established norm for writers to post chapters as they finish them.
